SUPPORT SENIORS &

ABILITY ACCESS PLAN

We honor the people who built our communities and cared for us by ensuring they receive the same care in return. This plan is rooted in compassion, dignity, and respect, because no one should feel forgotten or forced from their home as they age or face mobility challenges.

We invest in this plan because independence matters, connection matters, and every person deserves the comfort and security of aging safely where they feel most at home.

  • Lower fall risk and extend independent living through targeted, fast home updates.

    - 30% credit up to $6,000 for ramps, roll-in showers, door widening, stair lifts.

    - Streamlined permits : “accessibility fast lane” in 10 business days for participating localities.

    - Rural grants through Housing and Urban Development for contractors and mobile install teams.

  • When possible, Seniors deserve consistent, compassionate care at home

    - Expand home-based nursing services to ensure timely wellness checks, medication management, and chronic-condition monitoring.

    - Fund routine in-home assessments that catch health issues early and reduce costly hospital readmissions.

    - Support coordinated care teams—nurses, aides, and therapists—who provide continuity, communication, and comfort in every home visit.

  • Make mobility real in small towns and counties.

    - DOT grants for on-demand wheelchair-accessible micro-transit

    - Integrate NEMT and paratransit scheduling; single call/app hub.

    - Performance pay on completed trips and wait-time targets (Could house an additional Vehicle at Ambulatory Services for local hubs)

  • Be bold in our support of a redesign in how we treat, fund, and engage with long-term care to help maintain low to middle income generational wealth building options

    - Expand the baseline support funding to all individuals requiring Long-Term Nursing Care regardless of income.

    - Additional insurance plan options can exist to improve or add to the baseline funding offered to everyone.

    - $20,000 in assets is considered “protected” and is considered an inheritance floor regardless of debts owed at time of passing.
